More mountain experiences

Small children under the age of 6 travel free when accompanied by their parents. Small children need a valid ticket to travel unaccompanied by their parents. For multiple rides, for example as part of a ski course or similar, we offer two options:

• The winter pass for small children costs € 78.00.
• If at least one parent is in possession of a valid season ticket, the price for the toddler pass is € 50.00.

Note: The passes for small children are available from the start of skiing operations in the Garmisch-Classic area for the 2023/2024 season.

Annual and season pass holders have the exclusive opportunity to purchase a season parking pass for the summer season:

• Cost: € 45,00. If season/annual ticket holders already have a winter park ticket for the 2022/2023 season, only an additional payment of € 15,00 is required.
• Parking tickets for the 2022/23 winter season are still valid up to and including May 1^st, 2023. Summer parking tickets are valid from May 2^nd until November 5^th, 2023.
• Can only be purchased from April 7^th, 2023, in connection with a valid season or annual pass at the open ticket offices od the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn (also retrospectively).
• Valid on all car parks of the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn, with exception of all parking areas at lake Eibsee (see table at Parking).
• The parking pass is valid for the registered license plate number and cannot be transferred to other vehicles.
• The season parking ticket does not guarantee a free parking space.

Validity

• All season and annual tickets are valid for winter sports and leisure activities only. There is no transport for daily journeys, e.g. to work or school.
• All season and annual tickets are only valid on the valley route from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Grainau if the cogwheel train is used as a feeder to one of our mountain railways. Exceptions to this are explicitly issued route time tickets.
• The fee for the use of any parking spaces/parking facilities is not included in any of the season or annual tickets. The respective parking fee must be paid separately and according to the available infrastructure.

Annual ticket

• Annual ticket holders are entitled to use the facilities of Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG during operating or opening hours.
• Excluding force majeure¹, BZB ensures use for 160 days in the specified period of validity.
• In the case of actual use that is less than the assured use on the part of BZB (160 days), no pro rata refund can be made for the days not used out of the 160 days. In addition, the customer can extend the use in the specified period according to their individual possibilities.

Season ticket

• A season ticket is valid for the based operating and opening times of the winter or summer season.
• Season ticket holders are entitled to use BZB facilities during the operating or opening hours.
• Excluding force majeure¹, BZB shall ensure use for 56 days in the specified period of validity.
• In the case of actual use that is less than the assured use on the part of BZB (56 days), no pro rata refund can be made for the days not used out of the 56 days. In addition, the customer can extend the use in the specified period according to their individual possibilities.

Purchase of season tickets

• If you already have a season ticket keycard, please bring it with you when you buy your new ticket! Otherwise, you can purchase your personal keycard for € 6,00 at our ticket sales points.
• We need a recent passport photo to issue your season or annual ticket.
• You can pay at all ticket offices in cash, with EC card (debit card) or with Visa and Mastercard.
• Please note that identification is required for families, children and youths.
• If you ever forget your season ticket, you can purchase a discounted day ticket for the Garmisch-Classic or Zugspitze ski areas at all Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG ticket offices. Identification is required when purchasing the tickets.

Points of sale

• The season and annual passes are available at all ticket offices of Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG. The Wankpass is only available at the Wankbahn cable car station and at the Zugspitzbahn station in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

All prices in Euro. Errors and price changes excepted. All tickets are non-transferable.

With the purchase of the season ticket, the General Conditions of Carriage, which are published in the respective stations, are accepted. In case of misuse, the card will be blocked immediately. An additional payment is only possible from a winter pass to a higher-value winter pass or from an annual pass to a higher-value annual pass, but not from a winter to an annual pass. An additional payment from the Garmisch-Classic summer pass to the winter or all-year pass is not possible.

We would like to point out that when a season or annual ticket is used, personal data (especially on the readers) is processed for control purposes and to prevent misuse of the ticket. The data will be deleted in accordance with the legal requirements. ¹ Extract from the General Conditions of Carriage of Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG:

§ 8 Release from the obligation to carry
Events of force majeure, e.g. weather conditions, strikes, lock-outs, operational disruptions or unforeseeable circumstances which may impair the safety of travel operations, cause the obligation to carry to be postponed for the duration of the hindrance and a reasonable start-up time, or to lapse due to the fact that the hindrance cannot be remedied or cannot be remedied in a timely manner.

The right to carriage shall also lapse in the event of official requirements, restrictions and prohibitions.
